From a young age, Teen Angel was captivated by American automobiles, sparking a lifelong passion that led him to start drawing cars. This journey took him to the heart of the lowrider scene in the 1960s, where he worked as a resident artist forLowrider Magazine in the late 1970s, eventually starting his own publication,Teen Angel’s Magazine, where he captured the essence of barrio life.

Ranflas y Rucas, Chicano slang for "rides and fine females," is a compilation of Teen Angel's drawings and paintings. The book showcases his work from the 50s and 60s up until his passing in 2015, featuring everything from rough sketches and line drawings to fully detailed paintings. Spanning pieces from various publications, alongside many never-before-seen works, this limited edition first release explores the legacy and influence of an iconic artist and cultural phenomenon.

Sketches: Book One, a comprehensive book of sketches from iconic Los Angeles artist, Mister CARTOON. Featuring over 290 drawings, this 180-page release dives into two decades of work with an intimate look at the ideation process of art that eventually became the basis of designs for tattoos, magazines, commercial projects, and some which never left the studio – until now.“Over the last 20 years I’ve accumulated countless drawings in my drawers that I thought would never see the light of day. They aren’t finished in many ways, but they do offer a peek into how I first started developing ideas for what would become artwork for tattoos, magazines and even logos. These pen and pencil drawings are raw, very unpolished and definitely not digital like many things are these days. They’re old school sketches on paper that I’m hyped to see come together and be presented in a way that can celebrate my journey as an artist. It's not always about being perfect, but rather keeping things loose and fluid to express all the ideas in my head,” shares Mister CARTOON.

"Just like tattoos, shoes can be such a unique expression of individuality…but obviously a little less permanent. What happens when you combine the two? I've been tattooing over 20 years and like most artists my age, I got taught to try to be as well rounded as possible when it comes to giving the client what they wanted. Most importantly, never letting whoever walked in the shop leave disappointed. This gave me an appreciation for all tattoo styles and kept my skill set pretty diverse from the get go. Being inspired by artists doing fine-line tattoos was amplified after moving in 2004 to the home of it - Los Angeles. I would have never thought so many people would want these tiny little shoes I started doing. Whether it’s someone's first pair of skate shoes, or someone’s race winning track and field cleat, it seems I have done those and everything in between. Berk Krak is an artist and tattooer, working out of the world-renowned Smith Street Tattoo Parlor. Krak started tattooing and painting in 2000 and has become a notable figure in both art and tattooing by creating his own distinct heavy line styles and color palettes. His tattoo work is an extension and progression of some of the most famed American tattoo traditions, combining classic symbolism with contemporary design and style. When he is not tattooing, Bert paints with watercolors and liquid acrylics.

Magic Touch is an artistic expression that celebrates the creative follies of Canarsie homeowners from the late 20th century – a sort of shade-tree tattoo parlor that might exist on your cousin Carmine’s back porch from a time when Cadillac was king and you picked your tattoo design off the wall. In this installation, celebrated New York tattoo artist Bert Krak has reproduced sheets of flash inspired by his late friend and mentor Tony Polito, while Alexis Ross has continued to secure his footing as the consummate shill, who is neither tattoo man nor street art man.The first incarnation of Magic Touch debuted at BEYOND THE STREETS in Brooklyn New York in 2019. An impressive lineup of tattooers organized by Bert Krak put in hard work through the summer on well over 100 visitors.This book compiles Magic Touch’s unique moments from the build, events, visitors, tattoos, meals and candid moments – plus over 50 full size sheets of hand panted vintage tattoo flash that were on display. It’s pretty much the best thing to being there.Tattooers featured include: Bert Krak, Eli Quinters, Frank William, Kane Gordon, Steve Boltz, Chad Koeplinger, Mario Desa, Mike Wilson & Rich Fie.

NOGA, the Nation of Graffiti Artists, was an artist’s workshop located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and later on, in the Bronx. It was the utopian vision of Jack Pelsinger, who begged the city for a studio where kids of all talent levels could further their interests in the arts. The 1970s were a time in New York’s history where a request like this could be accommodated, the city leased the group a run-down storefront for $1 dollar a month in 1974. Like moths drawn to a light, the kids showed up, hundreds of them.A ragtag bunch of teenagers helped him clear garbage from the space and build it out (while covering it in tags and pieces, of course). For some of them, it was the first time holding a brush or spray can. Some had painted a few trains before, and soon some of the biggest names of the era became regulars (SCORPIO, BLOOD TEA, ALI, STAN 153, SAL 161and CLIFF 159).Photojournalist Michael Lawrence documented the experiment from 1974 to 1979. NOGA’s focus was teaching neighborhood kids how to paint, blending the boundaries between workshop and radical politics thinktank as kids were taught to bring their artwork to local protests, sell their canvases in street fairs, and exhibit murals on buildings. It was a lesson in creative capitalism but for most of the participants, the true payoff was in finding their voice.NOGA couldn’t exist in today’s world, but Michael Lawrence’s photos serve as an excavation of hidden history, allowing us to step back in time to when New York was still rough around the edges, and better for it. Here the story of the experience is told by the workshop’s surviving members and through Lawrence’s extraordinary images.

The Perez Bros. eat, breath, photograph and paint lowrider car culture like no one else.  Growing up in South Gate, California Alejandro and Vicente were born into a family of motor-heads, so it was only a matter of time before the identical twins took to documenting customized vehicles and the homies who love them.  Both attended Otis College of Art and Design to pursue degrees in Fine Art focusing on painting, which is when they started collaborating as an artistic duo.  Their photographs, murals and paintings capture slices of SoCal life as only locals can.World premiere of lowrider car culture photos, and acrylics on paper, by Southern California’s Perez Bros.  Candy colors and hittin’ switches at sunset—it’s all here for lovers of the low-lows.

Long out of print, this hardcover book is finally revitalized with new photos and an essay by LL COOL J.Joe Conzo, Jr. captured African-American and Latino life in the South Bronx, New York between 1976 and 1984. Known worldwide as "The Man Who Took Hip-Hop's Baby Pictures," Conzo is responsible for keeping intimate records of an otherwise little-documented period in history.

David Villorente is one of the foremost practitioners and ambassadors of graffiti culture in the world. His reign as the eleven-year editor of the "Graf Flix" feature in The Source magazine helped cement his position as an important arbiter within the global graffiti community.

The Fly Tip Theater puppets are mutant creations born of collaboration between Brooklyn-based BAST and London’s Paul INSECT. Musing on their shared love of puppets as kids and both without experience in traditional puppet making, the artists crafted the puppets from found and recycled materials. The characters often reference music and graffiti culture, with personas based loosely on celebrities, cartoons or those observed while people watching. Personas such as Tony the Tagger, Michael Wackson, Kid Ice and MC Salty first sprang to life in Insect’s Instagram videos, catching the eye of Banksy and leading to an appearance in his dystopian Dismaland installation. Insect and BAST also make films of themselves dancing around in various costumes they’ve created, from oversized boomboxes to animal heads, all keeping with both artists’ practice of public anonymity.

Paris-raised creative André Saraiva, or simply André, has earned a worldwide reputation for making the impossible seem possible through his various artistic endeavors, which run the gamut from graffiti to collaborations with couture fashion houses to curated nightclubs around the world. In this special zine by the artist, we catch a glimpse of André’s trademark creativity and humor.

Published in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Paul’s boutique, the second studio album by legendary hip hop group, Beastie Boys. The zine is a collection of ephemera and handwritten lyrics. The zine was published in conjunction with adidas.

People in love just can’t shut up about it. Sometimes it’s not enough to say it — we have to spray it on a freeway overpass, etch it onto a school desk in ballpoint pen, write it in the sky by way of small aircraft or carve it into the old oak tree with a pocketknife, too. This zine by Beyond the Streets curator, Roger Gastman explores the relationship between love and vandalism.

Coming in at 500 pages, with over 1000 color images, BEYOND THE STREETS is releasing a few copies of the Los Angeles companion book to the groundbreaking exhibition of graffiti, street art and beyond from 2018. It features over 100 artists, most of whom would have stolen it at one point in their careers. A few of them still will, just because they can.This book is a good steal, so you can’t really blame them. It features countless stories, interviews and articles of ups and downs, twists and turns, tall tales and great success, mixed in with some historical and critical essays and words of wisdom from the best of the best of the best. And for those of you who don’t like to read, there are over a thousand images to flip through and make yourself feel smarter.
