Tim Conlon’s Blank Canvas paintings exemplify his photo-realistic works, which often depict weathered trains and freight train graffiti. Known for his large-scale paintings, murals and sculptures, Conlon received national attention when his work was featured in the National Portrait Gallery’s 2008 exhibition RECOGNIZE! Hip Hop and Contemporary Portraiture as the first modern graffiti ever to be exhibited in the Smithsonian Institution. His Blank Canvas train paintings are in multiple collections, including the Norfolk Southern Railway’s headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia.
