Dash Snow
New York, NY
Dash Snow’s Polaroid photographs fearlessly document the potentially disconcerting subjects of sex, drugs, violence and poverty. They serve as diaries of his blackout moments as well as voyeuristic windows into contemporary realities, daring viewers to consider scenarios of Dionysian debauchery as art. Snow created collages, installations, films and photographs of his life in downtown New York and was celebrated as a rising star until his untimely death in 2009.
