RELLO “EVEN THOUGH OUR FLOWERS MIGHT FADE” POP UP AT BEYOND THE STREETS

RELLO PRESENTS “EVEN THOUGH OUR FLOWERS MIGHT FADE”
Pop Up Art Presentation and Gift Shop Experience
February 13, 2026 | Los Angeles 3:00- 9:00 PM AT BEYOND THE STREETS

Los Angeles, CA On February 13, 2026, Chicago based contemporary pop artist Rello will present Even Though Our Flowers Might Fade, a one day pop up art presentation and gift shop experience at Beyond the Streets / Control Gallery, located at 434 N. La Brea St, Los Angeles. The event will run from 3:00 to 9:00 PM.

Even Though Our Flowers Might Fade explores love, loss, and the gestures we choose despite knowing they will not last. Through new edition artwork, collectible sculpture, and exclusive merchandise, the presentation invites visitors to consider love not as sentiment, but as action, as something practiced, offered, and risked.

The pop up centers on a newly released edition artwork titled Even Though Our Flowers Might Fade, featuring Rello’s signature characters Ruby and Ozzy. In the work, flowers act as a central symbol, representing acts of care that remain meaningful even as they fade. The piece reflects on tenderness, emotional presence, and the closeness between love and grief, emphasizing offering over outcome.

Also featured are the Billy Spacekid “Ready or Not” mini statues, a new collectible series that continues Rello’s exploration of vulnerability and emotional readiness. Capturing a moment of pause before action, the figures align with the broader themes of the presentation, showing up without certainty and choosing presence despite risk.

In addition to artwork and sculpture, the pop up will include exclusive, never released collectible tees and a curated selection of limited art objects available only for this occasion.

The conceptual framework of Even Though Our Flowers Might Fade is informed by the writing of James Baldwin, bell hooks, and Nikki Giovanni, whose work approaches love as something lived rather than idealized. In this lineage, love carries joy alongside responsibility and risk, existing close to grief rather than apart from it.

Rello is a Chicago based contemporary pop artist whose work spans editions, collectibles, and art objects. Rooted in Pop Art, his practice draws from American iconography and visual culture to explore representation, identity, and emotional truth. Through a distinctive rubber hose style and recurring characters, Rello reshapes familiar imagery to create space for narratives often left unseen. He is also the founder of Cherry Mountain, a nonprofit art center focused on access, education, and community engagement.

Even Though Our Flowers Might Fade is open to the public on February 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at Beyond the Streets / Control Gallery.
