EGYPTIAN LOVER: ONE NIGHT ONLY on DECEMBER 11th
BEYOND THE STREETS is thrilled to host a special one-night celebration honoring the release of Egyptian Lover: On The Nile, the newly published book by Bob Dominguez that traces the legacy, imagination, and lifelong creative journey of one of hip-hop’s most influential figures. On December 11th, we welcome fans, collectors, and music lovers to an evening dedicated to the world of Egyptian Lover; his art, his history, and the character at the center of it all: EGYPT.
Taking place at BEYOND THE STREETS Gallery (434 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036), the event offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the visual universe that fuels the book. Guests will experience a display of original EGYPT drawings, many of which inspired and appear throughout On The Nile. These works offer a rare glimpse into Egyptian Lover’s artistic process and the mythology he’s built over four decades of music and visual storytelling.
To deepen the celebration, the evening features a live Q+A with Peanut Butter Wolf, founder of Stones Throw Records. Together, they’ll explore the making of the book, the origins of EGYPT, and Egyptian Lover’s enduring impact on West Coast electro and global DJ culture. Expect personal stories, archival memories, and insights that bring the pages of On The Nile to life.
Keeping the energy high throughout the evening, music will be provided by DJ Jinx.
The night concludes with a book signing, giving guests the opportunity to take home their own copy of Egyptian Lover: On The Nile and have it signed by the artist himself.
