Ian Reid "Complex Geometry"

Ian Reid’s photojournalism first gained notoriety in the world of skateboarding with his legendary video “Sex, Hood, Skate & Videotape” in 2006 and re released in 2016 due to popular demand.  In his new book, Complex Geometry, Reid captures a God’s-eye view of the public housing—projects—of his home borough, Brooklyn, New York. While Reid’s work here focuses on the symmetry and shapes of the architecture, the unseen forces that have also shaped the projects and life within them, permeate Complex Geometry.
